Instinctive Meditation (IM) is a highly individualized style of meditation that enriches your senses of aliveness and calm.
IM honors your body's innate, instinctive intelligence of the relaxation response (opposite of the stress response) and capitalizes on it through intentional daily practice, honing your instincts toward greater and greater accuracy. IM thereby helps you to enhance your capacity to respond more instinctively to life in ways that are healthy, ethical, and appropriate.
Each group class provides information about a principle of IM and a guided IM experience (about 1 hour).
Individual coaching provides guidance that supports developing and maintaining your personal IM practice (sliding scale rate).

Health & Wellness Coaching
- Group or private (individual) sessions
- Groups of 4-8 participants
- In person or online
Change is hard, especially when it comes to your health and all-around well-being. What if you had an advocate, an encourager, a listener, a guide, a supporter?
Sheila facilitates group coaching in a small-group (up to 8 people), social environment that provides camaraderie and mutual support. Group coaching is a more affordable option to one-to-one, or individual, coaching. Program topics are variable, so your suggestions are always welcome. Price varies with the number of sessions in a program.
Individual coaching provides an opportunity for you to work one-to-one with your coach. Sheila provides personalized attention and support, confidentiality, and an integrative, holistic approach.
She offers a sliding scale rate and a free consultation to individuals wanting to know more about private health & wellness coaching.

Shinrin-Yoku (Forest Bathing)/
Nature Immersions
- Groups of 2-9 participants
- In person only
Shinrin-yoku, or forest bathing, is a Japanese term that means to take in the atmosphere of the forest through our senses. Forest therapy is a common term for it, but there really is no therapy involved at all except for that which nature provides itself. Being in nature, especially when guided by invitations that promote sense perception and mindfulness, can provide physical as well as psychospiritual benefits.
In my bioregion (in southwestern Pennsylvania), the structure of a guided nature immersion permits woodlands to be explored outdoors, while indoor sessions can provide an exploration in an environment such as the beach.
Sheila guides nature immersions in small groups of up to 9 people. Sessions take up to 2 hours and are offered on a sliding scale rate.

Laughter Yoga
- Group experience
- Online or in person
- Can be combined with other group wellness offerings
Laughter yoga (LY) is the art of laughing for no reason at all.
In LY, we do simple exercises that help us welcome our childlike openness to fun, delight, and silliness. But seriously, LY has a lot of research supporting its many health benefits (for example, stress reduction, blood pressure reduction, enhanced oxygenation). However, the greatest benefit needs no research to support it: everybody knows that laughter is the best medicine!
There is never a charge for LY. You can request it as a standalone experience (online only) or as an add-on to any other group wellness experience. Gratuities for LY are deeply appreciated.
